So here, we will discuss hair growth stages, do’s and don’ts in hair, and foods that will aid hair growth.

4 Stages of hair growth:

According to research, it is normal to shed 100 hairs per day. Have you ever wondered, daily, if our hair is shedding, but our hair thickness is still the same? How does it happen? Our hair starts to grow from within the womb and grows until we die. Each strand goes through different stages of development. Depending on the stage of the hair, it will grow or fall. By knowing each stage of development, we can maintain it accordingly.

1. Anagen phase:

It is the growth phase of the hair. 90 to 95% of our hair will be in this phase. A single hair grows for two to three years, and even if we eat healthy foods, our hair will grow for seven years. The length and texture of the hair depend on the care and food we have taken on this anaphase. Improper food and maintenance will slow down the process too.

2. Catagen phase:

It is the transitional phase. At the end of the anagen phase is the catagen phase. 2 to 3% of our hair will be in this phase. Here, your hair won’t get any nutrients; only external maintenance will help prevent this phase of hair from shedding. Even without nutrients, this hair phase will persist in our heads.

3. Telogen phase:

It is the resting phase. This phase will last for two to three months for each hair strand. During this time, hairs in the telogen phase will start to shed. Based on the nourishment percentage, it will fall within three months. Harsh chemical products, improper diet, and poor maintenance will soon push our healthy hair to the telogen phase. 10 to 14% of hair will be in this phase. Hair won’t fall by itself while combing, shampooing, or drying our hair will fall.

4. Exogen phase:

It is the shedding phase. The hair will fall automatically, and at the same time, new hair will grow from the same point. So only our hair thickness is maintained all the time.
