When are the Olympics games reborn?
Baron Pierre de Coubertin founded the modern Olympic Games. Impressed by the ancient Olympic Games, which took place in Olympia, Greece, and ended in 393 AD. In 1894, he established the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which resulted in the first current games in Athens in 1896. Summer Olympics:
The games that are held in the summer season of the Olympic Games, an international athletic competition, offer several types of sporting events between athletes representing their respective countries. The 1896 Summer Olympics, also known as the Games of the Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event held in Athens, Greece, from April 6 to 15, 1896. It was the first present Olympic Games to be held. The opening ceremony drew approximately 100,000 people.
Winter Olympics:
Only five years after the start of the modern Olympics in 1896, the first organized international competition involving winter sports was initiated. The International Olympic Committee offered its support to a Winter Sports Week in Chamonix, France, in 1921. This event was an outstanding achievement, drawing 10,004 paying audiences, and was renamed the First Olympic Winter Games.
The Winter Games were held on the same schedule year as the Summer Games every four years. To address concerns about the growing cost and logistical complexities of the Olympics, IOC officials voted to change the schedule in 1986.
Paralympics:
The Paralympics are a special event that takes place two weeks after the Olympics. People must have a physical disability to be considered for selection as a Paralympic athletes. The most common disabilities among Paralympic athletes are blindness, wheelchair use, and limb loss. The first Paralympics were held in Rome in 1960. The event drew over 400 athletes from 23 different countries.

Where will the next Olympics take place?
Paris has been selected to host the Summer Olympics for the third time in 2024. Paris hosted the first two times in 1900 and 1924.
The Winter Olympics will be held in Milan-Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, in 2026. These Winter Games will be historic because they will be held in two cities for the first time. The opening and closing celebrations will not occur in the same town, which will be the first time.
In 2024, France will organize its first Paralympic Games. The tournament will include 22 sports and 549 events from August 28 to September 8.
